It was time to replace my 8 year old laptop and I decided to get a "fancy" Mac Book Pro. You get what you pay for, right? WRONG! If you like your Windows 7, Vista or even XP, just stick with it. Any of those are way simpler to use than Apple's Mountain Lion operating system. Mac is complicated and frustrating at moments. I watched tutorials and that helped somewhat but not enough. I'm a small business owner and a productivity aspect is very important to me. Windows operating system is a superior product by far. It's actually very obvious. Just look at a market share between the two concepts. I should have known better. I hope you don't make the same mistake...

Have been an Apple aficionado. Until now. With an iphone, Ipad, Macbook pro and Apple router. I bought a Macbook Pro in July 2010 and bought an extended warranty for 3 years. Recently in July 2013 I had some power problems and I took it to the Apple store on August 8th, 2013. It was found that the battery needs replacement but Apple refused to replace it because the extended warranty was over by a few days!
Two things that mark the new Apple as plebeian and cheap as some other manufacturers - 1. The battery misbehaved exactly after the warranty expired, precise to the day! 2. Apple which earlier would have replaced the battery knowing very well that they sold me a 3 yr warranty that was not misutilized - would have replaced the battery. But they did not.
Why pay a premium for Apple service? Furthermore, why buy Apple extended warranty?
I chose not to replace my battery. My next machine will be .. not APPLE.

I am disgusted at apple after being ripped off by this macbook pro.
Soon after receiving this trash I found out I could have gotten a vastly superior ASUS laptop for less than this. A friend of mine said yeah MAC are great they are better than any PC etc. Wait till you see how fast OSX is etc.
Then I realize without a SSD this garbage is slow, only has 4GB of ram, doesn't even come with a SSD and the screen resolution sucks.
Wish I had gone with a ASUS computer I would have gotten double the RAM, super fast SSD and better overall design. This crap gets way to hot you can't even put it on your lap.
My uncle brought this for me from the US as a gift, and now I am forced to find some retard to pawn this off.
Are there people in this world really dumb enough to buy this? The only thing I found nice was the Icons are pretty and I like the theme of OSX. Screen has nice viewing angles and I like the aluminum body except for the fact it gets to hot.
But over all I am very disappointed with this nonsense that costs $1700 USD. I taught this would be sooo amazing would have like 16GB of ram and 500GB SSD etc.
